I'm just taking a reading of how people want development of Eldar Tank lists to continue. E&C has Mymeara, then there is the Yme-Loc list. Do you prefer one or the other, or both? This is of course dependant on whether E&C wants his list to fall under the NetEA umbrella, or simply be NetEA compatible. Poll runs for two weeks.

I'm of the opinion that the mymeara list ought to be the craft world + corsair list and the yme-loc list ought to be the craftworld + tanks list.

Is Yme-Loc list even active at the moment, I can't find any threads except trying to shoehorn more options into it.

IMO Mymeara far better follows the practice of benefits/drawbacks, in comparison to other Eldar lists, than Yme_Loc which seems to be lots of boosts

The last actual game I can find reference to was Lsrwlf's 27.25k game in June 2011. I've used the list once or twice too, though not more recently than that. It is certainly not out of Experimental, but there is definitely interest - even if most of it consists of trying to add more units.

I've got an updated list that addresses the more egregious imbalances (I hope) as well as reconfiguring the Warhosts to something more interesting and less catch-all, as well as some other changes. It's not ready yet for a couple reasons though.

I doubt anyone would complain to badly if you stripped out most of the infantry options from the yme loc list. It's just difficult to do that when that is the bulk of what is available model-wise.

Perhaps the best approach is to require infantry to share formations with vehicles. I.e. formations like three rangers plus three war walkers, four aspects plus transports, etc.

Doing that would mean that there would be next to no commonality with the vanilla list, though, which means it takes longer to divine the proper balance.

I think the Yme-loc list has the stronger theme, although I think it needs a tonne of balancing work, somewhere between the two is my preference

Well, Yme-Loc seems to have a clear edge over Mymeara, though not so much over the 'both' option. In this case I see no reason to end development of Yme-Loc as the primary armor list. I'd certainly be happy to see Mymeara continue with NetEA sanction as well (instead of the 'NetEA Compatible' label it currently sports), but that's up to E&C to decide. As I mention in the Hornet thread, the three-strong twin pulse laser option has clear support, so I will be conforming the Saim-Hann (and eventually Yme-Loc) formations and stats to those of Mymeara.

In the middle of this year we had a new player using the Yme-Loc list for a 4 week campaign (probably played about 10 games) and a 1 day tournament (3x 3000pt games).
He finished well down the rankings in the campaign as he was learning the game but managed to finish 5th in a 12 player tournament.
Just FYI.

I believe he will be playing Eldar again in another 4 week campaign starting this coming weekend, leading up to another 1 daty tournament in Decemeber.

Any idea what changes the Yme-Loc list will have?

I don't recall any glaring issues in our few games but I don't claim to be knowledgable on the Eldar lists.

Here's the list I've drawn up so far. Note the Fire Prism pricing remains unresolved. I'm considering allowing the EoV Warhost to take 3 Falcons or Fire Prisms, with the option to replace one Falcon with a Firestorm.

The troublesome Gate Of Vaul has been replaced with the option to take a Spiritgate for +50pt to the Wraithgate, allowing the passage of any formation containing only INF, LV, and AV units (not just those with Walker). The Avatar has been removed.

I've reconfigured the Warhosts - removing the Vyper upgrades, replacing the SoV Host's Farseer with Saim-Hann's Mounted Farseer (incidentally allowing the use of the old Falcon Command Tanks), removing the Wave Serpents from the SoV Host's Guardian upgrade as unneccessary, adding the option to take two mountable Aspect stands to the SoV Host, and adding the option for the SoV Host to take a single EoV.

Hornets have been split off into their own Troupe. The Guardian Troupe has been standardized with the Saim-Hann version - Six Guardians and three Wave Serpents.

That should be the sum of it, though it's possible I've missed something somewhere.

I've resigned from all NetEA roles, and I doubt I'll be trusting the ERC process with my work again - if anyone wants to take over the Mymeara list, they should feel free, otherwise I suggest you delete it.

Understood. It's too bad there continue to be such sour feelings, but little can be done about that now. There are several lists I plan on farming out, and I'll see if someone wants to take it on then.
