That was pretty low!
a) Mangle wasn't paperless as there was paper for voting.
b) It wasn't intended to be paperless or planned accordingly, Curis forgot to print the score sheets off.
Despite the admin hiccup I actually do think more tournaments should be like Mangle. It had the best food by far of any tournament which judging by this thread is extremely important! There was also some variety in game types and the most prizes of any tournament.
What were the prizes? (I had to leave as it was running an hour late) I thought it was 1-2-3, 3 x painting which is exactly the same as EUK tournaments. Regarding game types I enjoyed the change (I like the BOTC escalating engagement too) but Objectivity could do with some work IMO.
Food was slightly better than other events (but when it comes down to it ws still just cold sandwiches) and that was reflected in the price.
The requirement to have an armylist to show your opponent won't be changing, especially with the greater range of lists you might face.
I enjoyed the Mangle too and would happily go again but to hold it up as some kind of tournament ideal is dubious IMO given the issues (incorrect scoring, lateness, price, strange decisions)
