quick question on the list are terminators priced at 275 pts as they are elite and therefore rare (or some other valid reason) or is it a typo?

As a basic rule, all the prices started out at the Black Legion rate. I then tended to assume that Defenders of Humanity would balance out the loss of the default Chaos Lord most Black Legion formations come with. So if a formation had a Chaos Lord, it'll tend to be the same price as its Black Legion equivalent (as Terminators are).

The notable exception are Tacticals, who got a further discount to help them compete with the other basic companies.

What price were you expecting?

Knave, I have no opinion as I know so little all I know is that I don't know.

Checked the list more saw that the allied imperial forces didnt have numbers of units. I assume the 650pts for leman russ group is for 10 lemans, the mechanised company is 12 foot +1 commander and 7 chimeras etc.

Like the alpha legion special ability, will give it a spin.

You assume correctly. Things to include in 0.4...

Also can't see much anti air except aircaft. Are hunters post heresy? or did the crusades have air superiority so didn't need it or is there something else that was used, Hydra's?. I'm not much help with the whole fluff thing.

Hunters are post-heresy. Also, the less modern stuff in the army, the fewer mental contortions I have to do to justify its absence from the Black Legion list to myself.

As to what they'd have used during the Heresy - I'd actually expect more of a focus on aircraft because of the sheer quantity of personnel the Legions could throw at problems. Chapters' manpower limitations (and arrangements with the Imperial Navy) restrict them, whereas the Legions could just throw more men at the problem.
