Well take a look at the current draft g and you tell me. Of course it could all be for nought in a few days. :)

Oooh, acrobat PDF library, fancy ;) don't suppose you've got CS6? Been looking into doing army lists as .epubs for tablets etc from the same indd doc used to make the pdfs. Only got CS5.5 and the epub export is 'somewhat' limited (ignore most tablet formatting, wont do multi-column) in terms of the HTML it spews out – im too lazy to manually edit the html, think cs6 is meant to do a beter job.

Lines in the tables work surprisingly well. Vertically centered reference sheet entries is an interesting approach as well.

Multiplication signs! hyphenation settings! Tabular alternate lining open type numerals! :P

unfortunately, no I don't. It's been a problem the last few months since I had 5 at my old job and I've got cs2 at home. Honestly, though, I think you;ll get better results for smaller army lists like this using PDF. the ebook formats are rather limited in their capabilities regardless of how you export them. But, should you insist, a program called Jutoh is what we used to create them and it seemed much more capable than any of the InDesign exports.

yeah, I decided to give some of the stuff from Bringhurst's Elements of Typographic Style a shot on the table formatting. There are still some formatting changes I need to make but we'll see how it goes.

Don't think the limited functions matter tooo much for army lists except for the tables, and epic is so heavily reliant on tables. Aside from that as long as everything in the indd is in-line it looks possible to get usable epubs from a print-set indd army list format. Definitely better results with 'pure' pdf, just seems sensible to start building in forwards compatibility – just been swapping all my tab-set data sheets for 'proper' tables for that reason :P

yes, flinched when I added the leader lines... I could almost hear the disdain. I do have a few thoughts on that, but for now I'll weather the typographic storm :)

Hehe, keep up the good work anyway :) sorry for derailing a bit.

Seeing the loverly long-tailed capital Q in adobe caslon mollifies me greatly in any-case, and that ampersand – so swishy, ye anyway i'll just … :D
