Don't think the limited functions matter tooo much for army lists except for the tables, and epic is so heavily reliant on tables. Aside from that as long as everything in the indd is in-line it looks possible to get usable epubs from a print-set indd army list format. Definitely better results with 'pure' pdf, just seems sensible to start building in forwards compatibility – just been swapping all my tab-set data sheets for 'proper' tables for that reason
