Caught this in Priests of Mars and thought it sounded neat.
The Iron Fist: an open-topped variant of the Rhino chassis with a quad-mounted battery of heavy bolters fitted to its glacis. Developed from a scrap of STC data uncovered on forgeworld Porphetus prior to its loss to the Tyranids. It has yet to receive full Mechanicus ratification.
Maybe a 6+ save instead of 5+ to denote the open-top (like how Griffon/Salamander are AVs but with one worse save than Chimera). For weapons, 2x AP4+ at 30cm or maybe just an AP3+?

Interesting Indeed.....But it would need to go into a Rhino Chassis list......atm AM is Chimera based. Maybe the Explore Fleet would be Rhino Based?

The Stenberg Explorator list uses Rhinos.
It sounds like something the Mechanicus would build and use, but I'm not sure of its utility in a list - there is no shortage of short-ranged AP firepower as it is. Perhaps if it had FF4+/CC6+, it could add some engagement punch to mounted Skitarii? The skitarii usually wants to get into CC, it would be nice with a unit that wants to hang back.
