Anybody know anything more about this http://www.polyversal-game.com/index.html ??

I am intrigued, particularly by the manufacturers who have signed up, but the specifics (ie: rules) are as yet non-forthcoming ..

There is a thread there - http://www.taccmd.tacticalwargames.net/ ... 43&t=22776

One of the key guys behind it is here, as are both Exodus and DRM. However, I don't think that any actual rules have been announced at this stage.

That's correct. No rules have been announced, but, rest assured, I am working on them. I have demoed early versions at some local cons, but they are not yet fully developed. I am a one-man operation with a full-time day job and a family. My publisher, Collins Epic Wargames, is also, and just released its latest product at Origins, so a release date for Polyversal is a bit down the road for us. We are fortunate to have the interest and cooperation of some of the best 6mm sci-fi minis manufacturers on Earth, and are really excited to make a game that will let veteran 6mm players use whatever they have, and also give new players some great figures to start with.

6mmLawrence: We are not manufacturing a new line of miniatures. Neither CEW nor I want to become miniatures makers. What we want to do is make a rule set that willl allow you to play with miniatures from all of the wonderful manufacturers already out there. Polyversal will have rules for 'statting-out' your own collection.
For example, my own armies have minis from Reviresco, GW, Otterman, OGRE, BAttletech, CAV, Plasmablast, Steel Crown, Gundam model kits, Scotia, Old Crow, Brigade, Silent Death, Micromachines, Mechwarrior: Dark Age ... you name it. There are plenty of wonderful models already out there. We want to promote them, and provide a unified ruleset to play with, in the spirit of Dirtside II, Future War Commander, Strike Legion, etc.

Unlike those games, our intention is to provide a boxset to start with, that will have minis from multiple manufacturers with illustrated stat cards for each. This will ease new-to-6mm players into the world of finding excellent minis from multiple sources, and will provide TacComm veterans some more metal for their collections.
