Was busy working on my Warmaster High Elves but got a little spare time in between to finish my Necron objectives and even begin testing for my next project:


These make it pretty clear that I need to get some static grass or something for the bases. They just look too empty. Its one power something, a possible tomb complex and a necron harvester getting some Tiberium.

And here my first test for the marines:


I really love the old ultras toy-look and really wanted that for my little marines.

But now back to Warmaster... Ill be back!

Those objectives look very good, the painting is exceptional and very clean.

Love the Zombie Robot bits with the Necron torso. Actually I love all three. The power station (?) is really nice too.

How did you hit the Marnie`s eyes?

@ulric: The eyes are pretty easy thanks to the miniatures. Just paint the head red and then slightly brush over them with the blues. (see the other 2 WIP guys on the strip) But I am not sure if ill continue doing the eyes because black gives a better contrast for the deeper areas.

I have did it a similar way,
paint the area where the eyes have to be
Then brush over the head.
Unfortunately it worked not out the way I like it.
I will give it another try

The only thing missing now for my robots are the wraith proxies and they should be on their way right now.

First I painted the warbarque:



Had alot of flat surfaces with this one so tried to go for a green "knight rider esque" veins.

Next are the Flayed Ones:


They could be a little bulkier/bigger for my taste but theyll do the job.

And finally a low quality army shot: (I rebased all the army - same way like the flayed ones and gave them some gf9 grass to make the bases more interesting)


(The one unit of warriors thats missing is currently a hostage of one our other players. )

My guardsmen also got their grassy addon for their bases, here some samples:

Have a little update for you today. Got a Warmaster skelleton command strip and with the help of some greenstuff and very limited sculting skills, I made my Nightbringer Ctan:



Also I got a little something from France, and after a very weak nervous breakdown during assembly , I finished the test unit. (Cant remember when I cursed that much while assembling a model ) I wasnt sure how stable they would be so I added a ruin that acts as a handlebar for them.



Also I messed up the "faces" but thankfully its not that noticeable on 6mm and hopefully Ill do better with the next ones. (If Ill ever overcome the fear of assembling those again. )

And finally got a good light setup and the right camera adjustment for a better army shot:
