Hey guys I was wondering if a lot of people base their vehicles on round bases, is it hard to arrange them properly on the battlefield, do they become to clunky? I am mounting my infantry on rounds and would like to have everything pretty uniform, would rather avoid rectangles for the tanks. Pics or opinions would be appreciated.

Personally I use rectangular bases for vehicles as they fit the shape better. However, my friend uses round bases and this has never been a problem in games.

Renedra do a good range of bases which are great for Epic:

If you prefer metal bases, B&Q do 32mm M5 penny washers which are perfect for MBT sized vehicles, I also ordered some 50mm washers on ebay which are a great for superheavies and other war engines.... Both are pretty light on the wallet...

I've used 25mm Round bases from GF9 for my Vanaheim, which are no issue. My Marines will use 30mm and 40mm rounds (also from GF9). Given I'll still be measuring to the vehicle, I don't forsee any problems gamewise.

I guess I was just concerned with the inability to run really tight formations due to the bases getting in the way.

It is a concern, expecially with larger bases. It's not one I'm too cencerned about though; the stuff needing large bases will generally be more heavily armored and fewer in numbers, after all.

25-30mm diameter bases ought to be fine for 4-5 infantry models. Your cheapest option is probably woodsies from Michaels.$4 before a 40% coupon will land you many a base. I also have some spare if you're interested. I can bring them to NEAT if you're coming. Alternatively you can go with fender washers.

I have used these bases on some of my models. I like the edge on them.

I think i would like to see how these go as well just a little bigger.

Here's some examples of what i've done with them.

The stomper is based on a warmachines base.
