So 1 of 2 down Thunderbolts down.



Base of VGC Heavy Brown and Adeptus battlegrey (<- I really need to find a good replacement for that). Highlights in various mixtures of the brown to successively higher proportions of VGC Khaki. Light drybrush of VGC Sombre Grey and extreme highlights of Heavy blue grey. Imperial blue base with blending in Mordian blue on the wings. Finally edge highlight of enchanted blue on the leading edges. Various details picked out and that's that. I'll go back eventually and add in some exhaust effects on the chassis grills and some chip efects/weather on the wing edges, some kill markers, maybe even some nose art but that can come once the flight is complete.

So month 2 down on ToEG. Made good progress on the Thunderbolts. One is complete and the other just needs the highlighting. Outside of adding a Cyclops demo vehicle to the Air assault command stand, no progress on the infantry this last month. A large big of scenery added to the collection so while not technically part of ToEG, i'm going to count it as progress

Oh yeah, I completed a project I've been working on with the wife for the last 9 months, a brand new human (and future gamer), Aden ben Ya'akov! (he'll join TacCom latter)

1125 points of Epic (1 air attack company, Thunderbolt wing, Leman Russ Tank Company)

OK 2nd Thunderbolt done. This one I think came out quite a bit better from the first, mostly due to more extreme edge highlights. As this was my first forgeworld flyer formation I can admit this was a good learning experience. Some time in the future I'll go back and touch up the first aircraft to match a bit better and I'm going to add some unit markings and other customization (thinking some chevrons and other symbols to make them a bit unique) but I'm going to call this done for now.


PS. glad to see the boards back up. Can I state, "First post!" yet?

Yep, that looks better, nice highlights and i think the blending on the cockpit looks smoother.
