That is really nice transport. I am feeling a bit envy :)
How much would the triple template of awesomeness cost if you would make one for me? Or a whole batch of them, say five or ten?

Cheers,

Chris

I'm more than a bit envious of your craftsmanship skills, glad you shared them. The army is really nice too!

That multiblast tool is really innovative! A large blast version for a Battlebarge bombardment would be huge ;D

Thanks for the comments.
Please forgive me - I'll be blunt about it, just to make my point clear.

I'm not interested in "producing" any tools, cases, miniatures or whatever. It's nothing to do with disrespect, money or keeping it all to myself - it's just time.

Like everybody else I have a certain amount of time for my hobbies and if I would produce BMs for Chris, I wouldn't be able to design and build an army case and if I would build an army case for Largo_W, I wouldn't get my army painted and so on.

I don't mind if any forum member copies my ideas and makes the stuff available to other forum members, but I will not be the one to do so.

If it doesn't cost extra time I'm happy to share, as with my paper buildings and army generator for Warmaster or software for Carrera digital slotcar systems, but I will not invest extra time.

Anyway, BMs are available from LITKO and a Multiblasttemplate can easily be made from ordinary templates.

The "folded" MBBBT (multi blast battle barge template) would have a bounding box of 25 x 12.5 cm or at least 24 x 12 cm, depending on the school your following. Or 21,4 cm square if placed diagonally.
I did't think about that when I did the inlet for the tools compartment, so it wouldn't fit into the case.

When the time comes that I need the template regularly, I will redo the inlet and make a MBBBT.

Hah! I didn't even make the connection between the name and the Warmaster Buildings! Love those too, by the way...

Last post was years ago, so what have I painted since than -
10 Landspeeders that's all. I primed 40 Scouts as well, but they sit in the basement for three weeks already and I dread starting to paint them. The models are an absolute mis-design.
They have faces and hands, trousers and shirts to paint - and on top of that weapons, hairs and boots. I ask you who for heavens sake designs something like this ?
In case you've forgotten - the name of the chapter I'm playing is Lamenters.

Obviously they will not be painted by my usual prime, wash, brush, detail routine and I'm just not up to it.

My motivation to paint not even near it's peak, I looked for something I'd fancy more and decided to do some buildings.

The little ones were easily and quickly done, but the Basilica is devoted to Saint Pita and rightly so.

The first try of the Basilica had a gray roof, which fits the "universe" better by looking drab and serious, but the terra-cotta roof makes the Basilica really stand out.

The roof isn't glued on yet, so I might change that.

Regards
Stephan

Will those be available on your site when they're finished?

That's the plan.

But it will take some time.

For one I want to add two other simple buildings, than I will have to add a kind of floor to the little ones and last not least I will have to write a" how to" and take some photographs and find/create some space on the website.

So they will be available, but most likely not tis month.

It will be interesting to see whether there is much demand. The Warmaster buildings are downloaded all the times, but the number of downloads by card model enthusiasts exceed those by wargamers ( as far as I can see). Besides the Basilica the "Epic" models are quite special, so they might not find as much interest outside the wargamers community.

Long time, no write.

I finally painted the scouts and some other missing pieces - I haven't started on the insignia though.

That's what the army looks right now.

The paint scheme is still very simple, so I didn't include any close ups.

The buildings are only of two types - the Basilica and everything else.

Instead of preparing 5 million files, I wrote a javascript app, which generates the pages to be printed depending on a set of parameters. The application is being tested right now and in the mean time I start on a second one for octagonal buildings.

After that I will put both apps on the website and hope for the best.

For the best - that reminds me.

Al the best to you
Stephan

Edit:
PS
The roofs and "upper story" buildings are not glued on as I'm flipping parts for tests.
That's just to explain the rakish angle of some of the components.

Wow... :o 8) :D

Really like the clear bases - you're on to a winner right there i reckon!

And the home-made army carry case. Damn, that's amazing!

Totally know what you mean regarding not really wanting to start making stuff for people - after a while all the spare time that you cherish ends up being used up and you can end up no longer loving the hobby.

That's cool.

Anyway - top stuff on the bases and the case!

Tee
