Admiral tee- I just did search on ebay for FoW bases. You can get either small, medium or large FoW bases or mixture. To start with I went for a big pack of 50 small FoW bases- will sort out all my Rhinos/Predators/Whirlwinds/Hunters.
And as bug16 said above, having vehicles based helps with picking up and moving on tabletop, and makes army looks consistent.

I've picked up a bag each of the small, medium and large.
Figured the large bases will be good for the 'large tracked command vehicle' models i've picked up.

) but starting to wonder about basing infantry. I've been partial to the current epic strip bases (12x40) as they've got more variation than the old square items but it seems to me that the current style is moving towards larger and more detailed bases. FoW actually makes a series of highly detailed bases for their infantry. As I've described before, basing is my my Waterloo so anything to make my life a bit easier while making the units really pop is a win in my book. Example bases->
