Followed shortly by the other shoulder guard and shoulder pads - the pads are left separate for ease of painting.

The model is then constructed enough that I can balance the body on the legs, whack in a head and take a size comparison shot - The other model is a leading brand and shown for illustration purposes only. ;D

I then chose the weapons I wished to use and in which positions, glued together the body and the legs in a cool position and began making an awesome jungle/trench warfare base. The fifth weapon (Massive missiles) are yet to be attached due to painting angles etc...

In response to the 10 weapons hard points - quite correct, though the two side positions on the torso are intended for shield generators or searchlights, along with restricted size of accessory on the tailgun mount.

The shoulder pads do fit onto standard weapons hardpoints, so they can be swapped out for a big gun. Also check out where the bayonet fits, it's a standard weapon fitting as per all the others:

Love the bayonet, "They don't like it up em Mr Mainwaring"

That jungle base looks like it's going to be cool too, might have to find out how to do that.

I postedfrom my phone, but the photo is too big, will adjust and add shortly, sorry.

LWR needs a little modification to strengthen some pieces then I hand it over to EW for all their schenanigans, I realise it has taken years, but the LWR is not dead!

That's a pleasure to hear ;D ;D .

First layer of paint was Boltgun metal for all metallic parts, then a wash of Badab Black and Devlan Mud mixed together and watered a little. A little Asurmen Blue for bits that require extra special oilyness - will go back and add a little more blue and gloss varnish at the end for these parts too.
Following the washes I highlighted with Boltgun metal, boltgun mixed with mithril silver and finally boltgun and a lot of mithril, edges will later be picked out using mithril and skull white, or mithril and shining gold for different effects.

The base has just had an undercoat of Bestial Brown.

Undercoated the Trench and Bunker with codex grey and then washed the whole base with the same mix of Devlan Mud and Badab Black as the metal watered down a little.
I then dry-brushed the mud with Bestial brown followed by Bestial Brown mixed with a little skull white and highlighted the concrete with codex grey mixed with a little badab black.

Also now have an engine (bottom left of the pic).

Next up I have painted the trees on the base with graveyard earth - quite thick paint here, I want to smooth over some of the sharp edges.
Also I've washed the trench concrete and metalwork with devlan mud and other dirty colours and highlighted a bit more to really drive in the grime.
Not apparent in this pic is the fact that I have also washed all te white armour areas of the Behemoth with Devlan Mud.

Onwards with the base I have used yet more Devlan Mud to heavily wash the trees and paint streaks on the trench and bunker concrete, also used a green wash to do some of the streaks.
The white armour areas have had a dry-brushing of skull white mixed with bleached bone, devlan mud and a tiny bit of graveyard earth, plus a little highlighting in the areas that the dry brush just couldn't reach.

Today I shall be mostly highlighting the white areas more, and painting the engine block.
Might highlight the trees and make some foliage too.
Also prepare an envelope to send the offending items to Otterman . . .

As the previous post said, I've painted the Engine Block, put another layer of highlight on the white and highlighted the trees.
Trees got a sloppy highlight layer of graveyard earth over their devlan mud wash, then a highlight of graveyard earth mixed with a little ancient "Bronzed Flesh".
The armour got a highlight of bleached bone and skull white.
The Engine got highlights of shining gold plus a little boltgun metal, and mix increasing amounts of Vallejo Sunblast Yellow with a final edge touch with pure sunblast yellow.
