Apparently so.

Have they just invented it, or is there any fluff regarding it?

yup, while i am not overfond of its gun arm, i much prefer this design to every other version i've seen in the past. perhaps someone whose talents lie in that direction could find a way to debigulate it.

Seems that way. It's a nice mini, not that there was any need for anything like that in that class, looks like a defiler proxy to me.

Not sure why they couldn't use a different name though.

what I don't understand is how the Chaos powers can make a walking fighting sentient killing machine AND STILL NEED CHAINS TO STRAP A BARREL TO IT'S BACK ferfecksake.

It just has the same name. Statwise it'll likely be an AV and weaponwise it clearly has nothing to do with the Decimator SHT.

Most likely the sculptors weren't even aware of the Epic Decimator, being as it never even had a model made.

Re-naming the Decimator SHT to something else to avoid confusion might be worth considering.
