I voted keep but purely from selfish reasons.

I've been working on a collection of imperial models to to fulfil the role of several army lists and play styles: I fear removing leman russ' would mean buying more models with money i don't have.

I voted cheese. I don't think the Leman Russ has any particular role to fill in the Ad Mech list (ecept perhaps showcasing Ad Mech plasma technology), but I'm opposed to cutting units from a list, since it may break peoples model collections. I like backwards compatibility...

People's model collections should not be a big concern when you're talking about an experimental list.

However I have said that there should be a mechanicus Armoured regiment list in order to cater for the obvious demand for a Mechnicus tank list.

Macharius Omega = Macharius with Plasma Blastgun
Crassus Assault Transport = Macharius-hulled armoured transport arguably 2DC 25cm speed
Praetor = Macharius hulled heavy armoured artillery BP2 ish I guess not checked its stats
Decimators = Loyalist Decimators due to having high tech
Shark = As this is presumably part of an explorator force, they can have a Shark Assault Boat which would be an unarmed, lightly armoured transport aircraft that can planetfall, which can carry 1 company of anything, or about 2 support formations.

I think there's the kernel of an idea in there.

I have said before I would quite like to see a list in which ALL of the Imperial SHT's were featured. I liked the idea of Machs being light scouting elements!!

A more serious point is that such a list as you have suggested would allow everyone who has painted up these tanks in Ad-Mech colours (with considerable changes in playtest lists over the years) would still be able to get use out of their model collections.

But specifically for the Skitarii list I have a somewhat contradictory view for inclusion of Leman Russ variants / Machs. I am happy for Skitarii list to exclude all Leman Russ variants- these are inconic IG units and have featured in loads of IG army lists, and thus their exclusion would help differentiate Skitarii from being Red Guard. It will also help in trimming the options available to Skitarii.

By contrast I would prefer Skitarii keep the Machs. These only appear in one variant IG list and have been linked with AM. The Machs inclusion in Skitarii list actually helps differentiate them from IG SL/Armoured Company.
