As per discusion in the
TOEG11 thread it looks like April 1st would be a popular time to start TOEG12. So, what is TOEG?
Tale of Epic Gamers:Each participant commits to paint 500 points or more of epic a month and show their progress in a project log in the Tale of Epic Gamers forum section. The purpose of TOEG is to encourage people to finish a playable army over a period of 5–6 months (or more). But i play NetEpic / want to do 200 points / etc etc ?500 points is the
suggested target for E:A, and anyone is free to exceed that. If you are painting for NetEpic/E40k/FWC substitute 500 points for a suitable alternative in that game's point system. There is a balance between being prescriptive and giving TOEG the required structure to set it apart from a regular log – do what you want but if you get too far from the core TOEG aims and
raison d'être please consider if your log would be better off in general 6mm. We all know life comes before hobby, if you need to take time out that's fine.
Is it a competition? No – it is a form of group motivation going towards painting an army. You can be as competitive as you like of course, but TOEG is not run as a formal Taccom competition event. This also means you can enter any TOEG painted minis in other Taccom competitions, such as epicomp.
When, where and how does it start?Starts in this sub-board from April 1st 2012. Just make a new TOEG topic and get painting – ill add a link to your log in this thread to help index the participants.
Why is it starting so early?TOEG has started in the summer before, but there seems to be enough interest to start as a group now.
But i want to start NOW/some other time?TOEG is a group event, so it's great if people can start at the same time where possible. Feel free to get logs up now to test paint schemes, prepare minis and discus your ideas for the coming months. If you can't start off in April that's fine, join when you're able
My TOEG11 log is still running, wat do?Congrats on keeping going so well

I have no idea, your choice – keep it running as 2011? change the name to 2012? start a new 2012 log and just run it over? whatever works best, sorry for the inconvenience.

Please include 'TOEG12' in your thread names. This makes it easy to tell at a glance which year a log is from.
