Yeah, that's some pretty fantastic paintwork on the tread-borne churches. Nice!

I've been a bit busy lately, but once again new shiny has once again come to the rescue.

Thought the man could do with a sword...

These I've had for a while but wanted to get a nice scheme for

Would love to hear opinions on my Tau scheme before I move on...

I think your Tau scheme is kinda grim and dark, not techno-sophistic enough.
I don't know but I always think of the Tau as very precise and the (what I assume) wash muddies the precision rather than adding weathering and war scars.
I like all you stuff so please don't take my comments in bad light, they are due to my cultural prejudices and preconcieved notions of the Tau.
I just always think they should be kinda perky, precise, new, shiny, and anime.

Some highlights on the sharp edges would help fix that. do some lining with blood red and it'll pop more.

That DP is nice. It's too bad I don't have any interest in Chaos.

The DP is lovely - where did it come from? Warmaster?

Well I wanted feedback, so thanks! The wash was Baal red, but other than adding shine I'm not noticing results, will go a stage or two lighter and come back.

Expect a ton of different legion colours on display before I make up my mind with the chaos stuff. I sliced into the daemons sword to give the impression of runes, hoping they show up after painting it.

Try using a green wash, green is the complementary (opposite) color of red in 'color therory'. If you don't go over board with it, it in no way will look green (when dried) on red it will just shade it without mudding the red like a darker color would. If you mix in some Pledge with Future Shine with the wash will tend to run into the depressions even more.

I personally have never had any luck washing red with red.

Magenta Ink was awesome for making blood red shine, great for marine helmets, brake lights on vehicles etc. But you always had to highlight with an orange on the edges to help with the depth

What ratio do you mix it too?
