Ordinatus Minorii - Borsig-Spline Pattern
The Borsig-Spline pattern Ordinatus Minorus is an adaptation of an ancient template construct useful for operations in rough terrain. They were manufactured specifically for war purposes on Stenberg after the war broke out, and proved capable of traversing the rocky, frozen tundra of the Stenberg countryside more reliably than tracked vehicles.
Shown here are the Ordinati Minori Epsilon, Theta, Eta and Phi of the Valley Phi Army, seven weeks into the war, just before the pivotal battle for the Plasma Cores.

The affectionately named "Spider" Ordinati are equipped with a Titan-class main weapon, selected for the mission profile (or from whatever the responsible Tech-priest has on hand), dual Void Shield generators and twin missile racks with limited anti-air capability.

The Borsig-Spline pattern was revived by multiple Forges during the heresy war, mostly those siding with Horus. The pattern proved very popular with rebel forces, and was adapted to several different scales, from Dreadnought to Titan size. It seemed particularly easy for the rebels to bind their Daemonic allies to such engines. After the war, the template construct was re-examined by loyalist Forges, and declared tainted and unfit for use. The few Spiders that survived on Stenberg were decommissioned and scrapped after the second Armistice.
