Hmm, I just can't picture you as a romantic Dave, sorry.

I got berated by my boss for using the words "cheap" and "Valentine's day" in the same sentence. Women, can't live with them, can't bury them under your porch.

That's kind of like garrisoning Terminators... Technically you can.

Or as Norm from Cheers said, "Women, can't live with them... pass the beer buts."

I forgot to post these last week so here they are now, Dexter and Alvin from the Ticket to Ride expansion. I've taken to calling them Reptar and Sir Probes-A-Lot however, hopefully for reasons that don't need to be elucidated.

Image

Dexter is definitely my favorite out of the two, he had a lot of detail on him that came out pretty good all painted up.

Image

Alvin had some decent detail on the saucer and gun but he himself was pretty smooth.

Rawr!

Image

The white was all done on the Silver Helms until I took this picture, then I noticed they have some cloth around the base of their tails like the chariot horses do, that's going to have to be white too.

Image

I should be able to take care of that next week and start in on the red. I'm still not sure what my second decal is going to be for these guys though.

Image

Image

I also did a little bit of work on the command, they're still lagging behind the rest though.

Yeah, whoever sculpted that dino is having his talent wasted on board game pieces. I'm impressed with his paintjob. The alien is great too

Do you have any idea how many times I had to re-read that post to see if there was some veiled insult hidden in there?

That's the best thing I've heard all week - I suppose I could say, "oh, there's an insult in there, keep looking," but alas, I was sincere. Nice to know I could cause torment anyway ;D

I started in on the red this week, this part is going to take awhile. There's all sorts of minor things that are going to end up red and with a lot of them being near the white I'm taking my time as to not make more work for myself.

Image

Hopefully it should be done by next week, then I cam get to the leather, hair and touchup.

I'm almost done with the red on the Silverhelms, just half a strip left to go on them. After that it's the hair, leather and decals so they're in the home stretch.

I was getting fed up with them though this weekend so decided to work a bit on my characters, I ended up finishing a Wizard.

Image

The pictures washed out the white and red highlights a bit, I've pretty happy with them though in the "flesh".

You know, I never thought I'd see eye detail at 10mm. I mean, are you painting with a Scanning Electron Microscope?

They look amazing.

Thanks guys.

Just a 4/0 SG. I paint two vertical lines, the first black the second white which overlaps the black a bit. Then I go back an pain the cheek flesh, it does a pretty good job of simulating an eye at 10mm. I found that trick while doing my archers.
