Siege was fine at A4 and I don't see any reason to change.

Not saying A4 wouldn't be chosen, I'm just saying someone needs to pick a size for the community I think.

If you want if printed I suggest you look at what's the most cost effective paper size based on a pretty small print run.

If you format it for a printable area of 210.0mm x 279.4mm it will be printable on both A4 and US letter without losing anything...

Not that it's necessarily a good idea. I'm sure if it would be fine if you picked the right scaling settings but not sure what would happen on default settings etc, and I usually go by the KISS mantra. At the end of the day if you want to print the PDF on another size paper it can be shrunk I guess. I daresay printing A4 onto US Letter is worse than the other way around, but I wouldn't know as I've never done it.

And probably not printable in book form at all. :-)

QFT.

As far as the electronic versions and people printing it themselves, I can't recall having any problem with converting A4-Letter or vice versa in 10 years or more. That should be a non-issue.

I don't know if setting a page size is going to be all that helpful. The books are already in three different sizes and I reckon that anything coming down the pipeline can't vary the population much more than it already has been. The ship has sailed. :(

My thought when chosing a page size originally was for people in the majority of the world to be able to print it out on the most common printer paper type (A4).

My preference for A4 for easy printing.

One option would be to change the paper size of the books next time they're up for revision.

I think hammering out a standard package of fonts etc. might not be a bad idea.

The peculiar narrative style of my book means standardised fonts etc are unlikely to work.

Fonts definitely won't work for Zombo's one. Everyone else is using that variant of Garamond Std Book that the two official books used, though?

If we can't agree on a book size why the hell does fonts matter??!?!?

I just wanted all the books to be able to sit together or stack well or travel etc, nice looking to the eye and hand.

Actually, I'm not 100% sure but you might find that the GW pubs aren't even one of the ones we use.

Yep. Three different paper sizes: Raiders in US Letter, Seige in A4, and EA and Swordwind are neither.

this might seem like an obvious question - but what size are epic and swordwind then?
