They aren't bad, but they also aren't as forgiving as say Orks or Imperial Guard, because you have far fewer units on the table as a general rule.

The Space Marine "armies" on Ebay usually do not include the "key" elements of a tournament Space Marine army (i.e. Terminators, Warhounds, Thunderhawks, TBolts, Scouts). But they are a cheap way to get the Tacticals,Rhinos etc.

getupandgo, have you come to a decision on whether to allow Vanaheim yet? Also I'm interested in what (if any) armies you'll be accepting from the Compendium. Approved only? All but Experimental? Or on an individual basis?

Armies allowed are as follows:
• Any list on the GW specialist games site: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/conte ... Id=4900003
• All armies in Epic Raiders: Epic Raiders Fan Supplement
• All armies in Epic Siege: Epic Siege Fan Supplement
• Tau 6.4
• Vanaheim Vanaheim Air Cav list ONLY
• Elysians 3.1.1
• Black Legion Chaos Black Legion
• Lost and the Damned The Lost and the Damned

Rules will be posted shortly; no special scenarios, straight 3k tournament games with possible corner deployment, apx 1/3 sportsmanship, 1/3 painting, 1/3 battle points.

Players choice will be worth 10 points.

Awards for best overall, best painted, best general, and best sportsmanship.

Bring 3 objective markers, 4 copies of your army list w/ your name on it, and armies w/ a minimum or 3 colors, fully painted.
