That sad part is that there are probably people who think it really is awesome.

I don't think anyone but the dork who sculpted/designed it does, GW have to push it and big it up, despite thinking it looks like a polished turd, and they implant the feelings into the impressionable 13-year olds who buy it because they were told it was cool, not because they think it is....

on a related note, I just found out my 13-year old cousin (who I've met only once before due to a family rift) is 'well into warhammer'

I'm going to see him in a few weeks, I'll gauge his real opinion then :D

Probably hugely expensive too.

Oddly enough their plastic terrain kits aren't as badly priced as their figures.

Half of them look like utter shit sadly but if you are looking for 28-32mm fantasy or gothic horror terrain those kits are a pretty good deal.

Well, the stone work on the tower looks pretty good. It obviously took someone a long time to design that in CAD. Of course, then they ruined it with the ridiculous giant skulls, but that doesn't make the effort less impressive. I suspect design by marketing exec.

almost certainly, I can imagine them being like a geeky Nelson Muntz: "Robot Castle with guns skulls for arms shooting a plane made out of guns skulls that fires guns skulls"

You're dead to me! Dead!

Just kidding, of course. And... hope to deliver the goodies to the caster today.

I've been told I shouldn't bite the hand that feeds me, but how else am I supposed to eat hand? I suppose I could make a smoothie.

Then again, a joke about implied cannibalism is probably in bad taste in this instance. I appologize. The Internet is hard when people know who you are in real life.

It's the massive candles on top of the skeleton's head that really get me – even if given the benefit of the doubt to assume that they are magic candles that dont blow out when left exposed up a 30ft tower. On a tangentially related note, I dislike the new GW blog format. ::)

CMON seems to go out of their way to irritate you, Otter. Isn't this the third or fourth Occasional Rant against them?
