I've always wondered about those turrets, what put me off were the quoted dimensions which seemed a little big, but they seem to work great!

Well, if you happen to come to Copenhagen, we can set up a game :) We have a tournament here, soon.

Legio Cybernetica Heavy Robots

A Maniple of Heavy Robots from the Stenberg Forge Legio Cybernetica.

The basic hull is a Dreadnaught tactical armour otherwise destined for use by a deserving Space Marine. During the Heresy Wars, the shipments were diverted and semi-autonomous machine spirits were installed instead. As usual, the enterprising Magos in charge of the project added as much weaponry as the Template specification allowed.

Depicted here is Maniple Theta Six, units 00, 01, 10 and 11, carrying power weapons, assault cannons and conversion beamers.

Those Ordinatus look really great and dead simple! Could you tell us what part the 'centre' on top of the landraider hull is?

Sure - it's the centre part of the Landraider, moved a bit. I took pictures during the conversion:

It's not nearly as delicate work as others I've seen here, but as you say, it's dead simple. Also, the parts are readily available.

Macaroni Heavy Tank Cataphract

In addition to the Hypaspists, the Forge standing military force consisted only of a small squadron of venerable Macaroni heavy tanks; They were mobilized along with the Hypaspists and faced the Guard onslaught on the first day of the war.

Image

The usual main weapon for a Macaroni command tank is a twin-mounted Vanquisher cannon, useful in stand-off tank battles. However, a small number of Macaronii were fitted with Vulcan Mega-bolters, for use in a close support anti-personnel role.

EDIT: Added obfuscation.

THESE. Must have them. Where'd you get Macharius chassis from? :o

Oops, I nearly forgot: More Macaroni! That makes 9 in the army :)

Image

As the war wore on, more and more Macaroni tanks joined the Mechanicus army; They were comparatively simple and cheap to construct in large numbers, since they did not require Void Shield or Plasma technologies.

Two heavy tank cataphracts of three Macaroni tanks each. The command tanks of the squadrons carry Vanquisher cannon and Vulcan megabolter, respectively, instead of the normal battlecannon armament.

EDIT: Ooh, more possible IP infringement. Purge, purge.
