Yeah, I was trying to fit that in too, but it seemed forced...

Van - where do you live in Malta? My parents used to live in Mqabba and still have a house there. I used to go over every summer for Santa Marija

Meanwhile - trying to finish another 5 vehicles, and preparing for the big photoshoot.

A handful of pics.
I have photographed a couple of dozen models so far, but correcting and posting pics takes time, so these will come in dribs and drabs.
I also need to correct the colour better, and will probably retake the lot once I decide which software to use to manipulate the pics. I miss my old Photoshop.

You have a very rough and used weathered look to your miniatures. I very much like that and they reek of spending years charging across battlefields soaking up shells from the enemy while being blasted by the elements.

Thanks leaxe, pixlr works :)

Typically, however, I have decided that the problem needs an alternative approach: I need to take an army pic, not single models. Cue a typical Vanvlak reaction.
As this sort of thing will happen regularly, here's how I'll notify a change of tack:

RICOCHET

Problem: I need to take an army pic, which means I need a nice background.
Answer: Stop working on the army and prepare a new games table* ideal for taking pics of the army on.

*note - I never even showed a single pic of my FIRST games table.... used for a single battle.

Corollary: why not make a new sort of games table?
Result: strange goings on in the basement involving a rag, mounds of dust, and the old games table.

Watch this space (if you plan to make it to 93 and the Internet isn't extinct by then.....).

Thanks L-4.
Update: the games table has progressed surprisingly fast. It involved a good deal of washing of stuff, and some piling of odds and ends. It's not done yet - I'm currently painting, and that will take some time. And I also need some more - ah - modelling work. But the design is done, and that's what usually takes me loads of time - that, and coping with the changes along the way.
Pics once it's done.
Be warned, it's an old school Vanvlak, meaning lots of weirdness. Think Fellini or Terry Gilliam.
And it weighs a tonne.
