We made our Big Koptas using BFG frigates for the bodies, with props and gubbins added.

I built some Warkoptas (big koptas) for an Aeronautica campaign, out of Micro Machines Chinooks:

The extra bits were resin flash from other AI aircraft and some spare metal gun turrets from Babylon 5: Call To Arms ships. In AI we gave them stats similar to a fragile Valkyrie.
