Can't see any reason why not. Provided the Kustom and Mekboy variants are suitably/subtlely different, then it gives you some nice choices when list designing. Poss make the Mekboy have extra shields, or DC5 or 6 for an extra 50/100 pts - then you have the Kustom/Supa/Mekboy Stompas as Light/Medium/Heavy variations.



Interesting. When list-bashing I viewed them mainly as decent fire bases, with transport as a bit of a bonus. Mainly because of the cost I thnk, the amount of points required to mech even a small warband is quite steep. And because the speed value of the W/E and INF is the same, they were only considered for the (very good) armour benefits.

I'd be interested in trying out a 'Stompy' version of the Battlefortress. Something slower but heavier armoured (and that stomps - no wheels!) would fit the fluff. A la the Gorgon troop transport.

Thoughts?

A "Quad" Stompa would be neat, like a Battletech Barghest (TR:3057) or Goliath (TR:3025) with stubby legs.
