That'll never be the heaviest Epic tournament ever.

so I'll broach the topic of accomodation then...... is anyone interested in clubbing together for a hostel dorm or are people lone-wolfing it?

I've been to bristol precisely once in my life, and I panic when I get lost, so it would be useful to at least have my frozen corpse discovered huddling with others when the inevitable 'getting lost at 1am in the snow' happens :D

I'll be coming along this year – to my first Epic event! :)
It'll be nice to put some TacComms names to faces.

The Epic UK link in MoK's opening post doesn't seem to work for me. :-[ I did a bit of digging around, so can I just check that this is the correct one?

A couple of bits jumped out: to whom do I send my army list? There's a note on basing your models in the link above, but my stuff's based on tuppenny bits. Is this a social no-no for the Epic-UK crowd, or is it generally accepted as long as you're not a git?

Ta – looking forward to the event very much.

The Winter Warmer is so chilled you could keep meat fresh in it for a month.

You need to send the army list to me a couple of weeks before the event :-)

Basing really isn't a worry!

I would like to come, would have brought sisters for the big game too but a ~£140 rail fare nd 3 nights in a hostel are a smidge offputting this close to Christmas.

Do you have plans for something similar at a different time of year?

Wouldn't it be cheaper to go via an orange coloured airline? :)

I plan to stay in Bristol Saturday night so will need to arrange something.

Am easy with hostel but don't mind paying a few extra quid to share a room in the Travelodge, looking at prices there seems to be very little in it (39.50 for a family room vs 2 x 19.40 in the YHA) and it's closer.

Does anyone know if there is a better parking solution than the travelodge (£7.50 per 24 hours) or the NCP down the road?:
http://www.ncp.co.uk/car-park.htm?cpid= ... Bedminster (£8 per 24 hours)

St Phillips road is your best bet for free parking on Saturday as almost every other on street parking is limited to one hour. It is an industrial estate so should be fairly empty on a saturday and is only a couple of miniutes from the store. Just get there early before it fills up with saturday shoppers.

Sunday is easy as almost every street nearby has free parking.

The closest paid parking is Gardener Haskins, it is also £7.50 a day but is practicaly within spitting distance of the store.
