Thought I should mention that whenever I hit "back" in IE9, I get a "webpage expired" message. I'm learning to navigate by other means, but it's kind of annoying. Thanks!

After you post, or every time? I get expired pages if I back into the posting screen, but not otherwise. And hitting back again takes me back to the forum.

It does happen without me having posted anything... but not consistently (50-70% of the time). I haven't found the pattern yet.

In the last week or two, I have had to re-login every day even when I tick the keep me logged in option.
I haven't had this happen before now and I haven't changed any of my settings on the pc.

It's not a big problem, just something I thought I should mention.

Initial research shows that this is a known issue with these boards when using IE and security settings of medium or higher. Options are to drop the security setting on IE, switch to a different browser, or live with it, I am afraid. The are working on this, but it probably won't be solved until the next update or later.

This has happened with me as well, but with Safari 5.1, and at very irregular intervals.
Just FYI, given your response already CS. I'll check my security settings.

Ahhhh.... I have not changed any settings here or updated anything in the last two weeks. I would still suggest that this is a browser setting issue..... but let me know what you find out with your own settings.

I use firefox 8 and have had zero log-in problems with the forums.

i also havent had any trouble with firefox in some time
honestly, it surprises me that anyone still uses IE for anything (except downloading a better browser when they first install windows)

I agree, firefox with the tab mix plus and ad-block plus plug-ins is a far better way to experience the internet. I find IE and all the adverts annoying and irritating to use it on the rare occasion I use them these days.

I also use Firefox, which is a great browser with Firebug for developing, and I test in Firefox, IE and Chrome. But, Firefox was hanging for me - particularly on YouTube - and apparently this is a known issue that the developers refuse to address. It's working fine again now, though, but it was really annoying when it happened.
