As the GW site is as useful as boobs on a rooster tongue.gif has anyone bought one of these recently?

It's a battle company.

Supposedly 24 stands(4 formations???) of Tacticals (but it includes Devs too coz they use the same minis) and 2 Assault formations

Specifically it's supposed to be 24 missile launcher marines, allowing you to build up to 12 devastator stands if you don't mind having 12 tactical stands without missile launchers.

The standard SM Box now lets you build 2 Assault Formations and either 2 Tacs and 1 Dev or 2 Dev and 1 Tac both ways gives you marines to spare. This assuming each Tac Stand has 1 ML and every Dev Stand has 2 ML.

You don't get any sergeants or characters, just 96 marines with bolters, 24 with missile launchers, and 40 with jump packs. Do get the metal character pack, it's great (contents can be seen on this guy's site: http://twilight40k.blogspot.com/2010/04 ... -pack.html )

Thanks for linking to my site. Character pack is short on Sergeants though. I think the Epic 40K plastic marine sprues were better than the battle company. My Space Marine era plastics lacked all the character options but they did have plenty of Sergeants (and termis, landspeeders and bikes)

Thanks for all the above, guys
I've resolved ebay serves my purposes better but if/when I'll get a brand new chapter going for Epic then a twin set of these and a character pack will be my first purchase.
