Warmaster, do you have a 'parts list' for the CI and any tips on how you made the Lucius Imperator?

Looks like a 1/72 scale Tiger chassis with GW treads to start. I see Epic Commissars and other IG minis, 40k Plasma Guns, Ordinatus radar dish, Imperator dome, and lots and lots of plasticard. I'm curious whether the turret is scratchbuilt or not, though.

Edit: the secondary turrets puzzle me as well. I'm thinking Ork, but I'm really not sure.

After some research, I'm guessing Hasegawa 1/72 Tiger I for the chassis.

Possibly a 1/700 Deutschland or Admiral Hipper turret for the primary turret.

I'm wagering that they are the 'MKII LLE Sponson' from the Guild Enforcer Variants.

PS: Ork? ORK! Cheeky wotnot.

I thought that too at first, but there are some significant differences. The LLE turret has a sight on the right barrel, and has no hatch on the top. The barrels are also significantly slimmer than the ones on the CI.

Actually, after looking at something I'd not thought to before, The secondary turrets (single and double barreled) are most likely Enforcer UPV MkI turrets.

Some very good bits spotting so far :)

CI: Chassis from Airfix tiger, GW treads. Main turret from Scharnhorst model ship, Secondary Enforcer Mk1 turrets (Mk2s would have been better, but weren't available when I built the model. Tall gothic windows are press moulds from E40k ruins. Small arcade of windows below main turret is rear part of an Imperator foot. Front relief is various plastic IG infantry filed down. Large statues from BFG Imperial Battleships. Large side windows are scratch built from plasticard, using that textured palstic tie that is sometimes used as packing material for larger cardboard boxes. throw in some FW brass etched Eagles and a lot of plasticard and that is pretty much it.

As for the Imperator, pretty much the same thing applies: Plenty of plasticard. There were an extensive guide with pictures before the forum meltdown a few years ago, but the short version is to use two pieces of plasticard. 1mm for the basic shape, and then you add a thin second layer (0.5 or thinner) for the individual armor plates. It is pretty simple once you get the hang of it. Only exception is the head which had to be sculpted from Green Stuff/Miliput. The 4 bastion turrets are shaved down Plastic Rhinos with Warlord Turbo Lasers added. Then just make sure to add plenty of gubbins from the bitz box all over so it looks nice and textured.

Thanks for all the tips guys. Warmaster, the CI and Imperator are top notch and I hope to get a chance to build some, thanks for the parts list and tips on the CI.

Not much of an update, but I thought I'd share. Just recieved the new EW guild aircraft to paint up. I quite like these, although i think, for my personal use, I'll probably remove the "chin" from the Harpy fighter.

Technically not Epic...at least in the sense commonly used on this forum. But I made this cake for a rather silly themed Christmas party "Christmas in Mordor". It's 8 kg of chocolate cake with a clementine for the eye. Yummy!

Merry christmas everyone!
