At DC6, yes the left one looks like it can take a greater volume of fire
Keep this up, I'm starting a (fluorescent colours, though...) Tyranid project myself
Kind of sad the lists are still very much up in the air but getting armies gaming does mean more feedback can be returned to the Champion which should ease development somewhat
Good work
S.

I think the right one actually masses closer to the DC6 phantom, but the left one is cooler for a supreme commander beast. How do they look compared to a Reaver?

I'll dig one out and do another picture. Honestly the right on is probably better, but I do like the left one.....and its painted :)

The little beast would make a nice WE in the DC3-4 range... Hierodule?

I'll grab a selection of titans and do some more shots..I think the right beast is more dc 4+ really.

Now I'm going to be using the small flyer as my harridan...so that's DC3 (and in truth maybe a tad small)

I look at models in comparison to the 1:300 models Forgeworld makes, like their Thunderhawk, Aircraft range, Baneblades, etc. As well as the 1:300 scale that all the Epic SG & FW AV's and SG & FW Infantry are made in.

If you're looking at models in comparison to the 1:500 scale that the SG War Engines (& FW Imperial Titans) were mostly made on (the Marine Landing Craft & Ork Supa Stompas are arguably truescale), then the one in the right is more DC5 or DC6 I guess.

Try putting a Marine Landing Craft down next to them and see what you think then. ;-P

Even at 1:500 scale, that little flyer looks more Harpy (AV sized flying Tyranid) in size than Harridan... looks like it has about the same mass to it as a Land Raider.
