Small update.

I finally got around to finishing my CI (It will be shipped off to Primarch soon, along with some other goodies).
I gotta admit that I had some difficulties painting this. First of all I could't settle on a color scheme I really liked and secondly I made the mistake of trying to drybrush it with some foundation paint that hadn't been thinned properly, causint the surface of the model to become rough, and obscuring some detail. this wouldn't have been a problem if it wasn't for the fact that this is a prototype made from ll sorts of materials that don't handle paint strippers very well. I did mamage to clean some of it up though, and in the end I've grown to like the rough surface, as it gives the model a bit more of a building-like texture, which I think fits the theme quite well. ...Or maybe I'm just trying to justify the catastrophic failure after spending so much time building the model :p


With regards to the website: No plans to resurrect it currently. I do have the photos somewhere and at some point the will be uploaded to some kind of album, along with the photo material from NetEpic Gold, to form a nice resource of Epic material.

It's amazing.

I'm somewhat horrified to see what appears to be the dome of a FW Censorium, though.

Well actually the sensorium is from an Imperator Titan. FW used a bunch of Imperator bits (as well as Necromunda bulkheads and E40k plastic ruins when they made their Epic buildings.
And no: I didn't chop up an Imperator for that bit either ;) ...a certain aquatic mammal happened to have some spare Imperator parts that fit quite well...

Warmaster, do you have a 'parts list' for the CI and any tips on how you made the Lucius Imperator?
