Which armies have access to Spartans? IIRC one (or both) of the Squat lists had it.

I have got quite a few of the old Land Raiders and Rhinos kicking around, that I am not likely to use as is (the new models are so much nicer imo) and not likely to sell as I doubt I would get much for them. So the idea of cutting them up and reusing them sounds appealing.

Was nt their 2 different vehicles they featured in WD- the other one used the other bits unused by Spartan. Forgotten the name though.

Just Space Marines use the Spartan ... as a Terminator APC ... The other vehicle conversion that came out at about the same time, was the Sabre, an Assault Gun/Tank Destroyer ... here's my version in Epic scale ...

The Spartan I made is just a standard plastic Land Raider model with the metal Mk. 1 Rhino hull inverted, cut and filed to fix. Then the whole model bite'ed out, here and there. I'm sure you could do something similar with a plastic Rhino ...

The Spartan terminator transport had an open top and originally used to take squads of terminators through the Ring of Death which forces of Horus had thrown around the captured Adeptus Mechanicus city of Aries Primus. I used the template in WD 119 and then scaled it down to 6mm. All you need is an old plastic land raider and some plastic card.The terminators operating the guns are made from green stuff out of a blue stuff mold.

The Sabre Tank Hunter ( WD 120) was based on a rhino chasis. Interestingly in the fluff there were tank hunters with missile launchers, lascannon and other heavy weapons but the auto cannon sabre was the most common.

Very nice work !!! Those Sabres look like Russkie SU-85s !!! I didn't know about the other two ... certainly looks like a good use for all those extra plastic Raiders & Rhino !! Are those two from NetEpic ?
