I'm looking at granting the 'nids a Brood Nest which would function exactly like an Eldar Wraithgate. The problem with this is the Webway Portal rules are written with Eldar in mind, not other armies like the Tyranids.

Would people find a generic rewrite of the rule useful in Epic: Xenos?

Or are they alright overlooking a 'nid datasheet that has the Webway Portal special rule on it, and using a rule which mentions "Eldar" and "Craftworlds" rather than more army agnostic terms?

You'd have to rewrite it, much like the 'nid list has.

I assume this is intended for scenarios in the book rather than the GT list?

Personally I prefer nests as a spawning boost.

Not sure on whether scenario only/GT list. It depends on how much support there is for it in the GT list.

Assuming Onachus will have Mycetic Spores/Planetary Assault as well as Tunnellers and Teleporters, I really don't think the GT list needs a fourth deep strike mechanic...

More of a discussion for the 'nid threads but agreed. However, a spores rule will depend on whether it can be balanced or not. At this point the sample-size is too small to go by. I'm just keeping options open here.

Tarrasque did the warp gate thingy. Take a look at how we included it there. It fits fine with the eldar write up.
