Comments and Critique is welcome if you can make anything out of the above two lousy pictures. I actually like it, but at the same time it might be a bit dull to make an entire army just using brown and beige (that's why i did some parts blu/greyish to get a least a little colour) so I'm a bit uncertain.

Very nice. Especially with some color (green/grey-blue/stone) on the bases themselves, I think the camo will look very nice.

Hello!

I'm still waiting for the Tau infantry so work has continued on the mech part of the force. Belows is a picture of the finished vehicles for a Fire warriors mech. retinue.

years ago GW had a blue/metallic color
this one highlighted with chainmail or mithril silver
could look like alien metal
or you try light grey highlighted with space wolves grey

I liked your suggestion and tried it. I added some mithril silver to the final highlight. I think it's nice.

Next up are a railgun + skyray cadre.

Nice work, especially the cammo, I love how it matches the bases!

It's nice to hear that you like the cammo together with the bases. It was my goal to get the cammo to blend well with the bases. :)

I was at the postal office earlier today and collected another 9 skyrays, so now I have 21 in total. Which will be made into

I wanted to show some wip pictures of my conversion attempts for the railguns to one memeber here and then I thought I might just as well put them
up here in the blog for all to see:

Here are the first three of the six I'm going to do. I've put them at a different angles to better show the guns. They're not exact replicas of the 40k railguns but I'm quite pleased with them anyway. There are a few tiny gaps that needs green stuff filling and I have not jet decided what I want to do for the rectangular ending of the gun, but I think I'll might have to that in greenstuff.

Btw converting 6mm is fiddly in the extreme :D

Cheers and I'm glad that you appreciate the Tau so far! Image

Stay tuned :)

can I ask what you used for the hatch cover on the devilfish? (assuming it began life as a skyray)

Yeah of course! It's simply the skyray missile fin thing, whit the actual fins cut off. So there's no real converting needed just the basic FW set :)

It's a lot bigger than the 40k version hatch would be but I think it looks alright.

I think it looks great borka. You can buy small square or rectangular pieces of polystyrene that you can hollow out on end and slip it over the tip. They sell them at my local hobby shop.

Nice work on the Tau, they look very smart indeed, a good colour scheme as said by others,

Look forward to the Infantry, are these going to be old fw or metal proxies ;)

Regards epic
