Thanks everyone for the comments - really appreciate them.

Would love to say that the skulls emblems are freehand, but they are not. maybe one day.....onwards and upwards.

SHT company complete.

Nothing wrong with transfers dude, I have given up on the free hand symbols and turned to transfers as they give excellent looking results that are always the same size unlike doing it free hand, just need to stop some of them folding over when wet :o ??? as its always the one you need and dont have any spare ones :-\

Regards epic

So very true about transfers. My rule is to ensure a spare or two is available.

i will try printing on transfer paper at some point, BOLS has a great logo archive (http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2008/07/ ... chive.html)

Super heavies look excellent. Transfers are fine- where possible I try to use them as a guide to paint highlights on.

Cheers

I'm interested that your Stormblade(?) has the superstructure forward. Is there a particular reason you went with that configuration? I seem to remember one of the tanks made from the 40k Shadowsword kit has that look?

And before I forget, they're great. Make me want mine even more. Stupid ocean getting in the way of my hobby!

Stormblade is the Plasma one on the far right. I think you mean Stormsword?(Left one??) Since Stormblade can only be made from a FW kit still in 40k.

You're correct, of course. Of the six Baneblade variants currently statted in NetEA, four start with "Storm". It gets confusing.

I plan on my own variant, the BladeStorm. Or the SwordBlade. Or something. Bonestorm?

There are currently five prefixes in use - Bane, Storm, Shadow, Doom, and Hell
The existing suffixes are - Blade, Sword, Hammer, and Lord

After creating a matrix, the remaining names are: Shadowblade, Shadow Hammer, Shadowlord, Hellsword, (Hellblade is used elsewhere), Hell Lord, Doomsword, Doomblade, Doomlord. Hellsword, Doomsword, and Doom Blade sound like they might be wargear, but I don't know. That leaves us with about five somewhat viable names (Shadowblade, Shadow Hammer, Shadowlord, Hell Lord, Doomlord) before we have to expand the matrix.

edit - Shadow Hammer is catchy.

Way to kill the romance, Mr. Spock.

Edit - You know I'm just teasing around, right?
