They ended up as the catch all list for all the old chaos models.

Both official Chaos lists were over-stuffed with unit types and could have used some hacking back down, IMO, especially L&TD.

L&TD ended up as Traitor Guard, Civilian Insurrection, Chaos Summoning cult (All 4 flavours + generic daemons too), and Daemon Engine horde (All 4 flavours)... really would have benefitted from being split down into multiple sub-lists IMO.

One of the thing that sticks out (to me at least) is the double up of Traitor Leman Russ and Traitor Leman Russ Demolisher.

I don't see the problem really.

Most of the LatD armies I have seen posted tend to focus either on Traitor Guard style armies, or more Daemon oriented armies, and even those which are more of a mixture look okay to me. Having a wide range of units is hardly a problem, and it's great for old school players like me who like to field all their second edition Chaos models.

Having more lists would just lead to yet more confusion and more development arguments, which is the last thing inexperienced Epic EA players like myself need.
