I'm building a tank-heavy IG army (Steel Legion I think) and have a question about the SHT models. Basically, how many versions are there, and are they all interchangeable?
I think there are 3 shadowswords, one from first and second edition, one from Epic 40K and Epic Armageddon, and one from Forge World. Is that correct? Are they all the same size? I have a bunch of Epic 40K baneblades and would like them to match but from the (poor quality) pictures I've seen so far the shadowsword mks don't seem to be hugely different to each other.

alas each edition is noticably (but not hugely) larger and more detailed than the last, so they're not especially compatible with each other

The metal versions of each tank are fairly interchangable, but the FW version is not. It is the best looking, though.

OK thanks guys. Given I already have Epic 40K baneblades and the fact that replacing them with OOP Forge World baneblades is going to be difficult, I will try to go for Epic 40K shadowswords too. Are these the same as the current Epic Armageddon range then?

They are basically the same, IIRC. However, I would try to get the E40k version, as in general* they are superior models (casting, detail, variety etc.). They tend to have more parts too.
*The difference between E40k and E:A superheavies may not be as pronounces as that between the Russ versions, but still

I like werewolf superheavies myself. You should take a look in E&C's Hobby Blog thread in the 6mm modelling section...

I agree, but they are really only compatible with the FW tanks; he'd need to do a full replacement. Of course, that's my plan in the near future.

Wasn't aware werewolf superheavies were exchangeable for beer tokens. I suppose it depends how many beer tokens would be involved. It would be good to get hold of some russels too though.
