You know what that means. It's just like the Grey Wolf, now they're a nuisance and should be shot on sight! ;)

Blankety-blank-blank GW blankety-blank blankers!!

I blank you not. GW Oz charge blanking $26Oz for a blanking Chaos Black spray can nowadays. I literally laughed in the face of the Wendy's employee who apologised and sheepishly looked at his cash register when I told him what he could do with the can....

Anyone in Oz have any ideas on undercoats now?

I'm gonna switch over to Krylon when my current supplies run dry. I've been using their Varnish, and it's really good. Don't know about availability in AUS, but it's three bucks a can at WalMart over here.

That's even more expensive than in Norway. They charge the equivalent of $20 Oz here, but everything is expensive here compared to other countries.

I agree with Army Painter. Slightly higher cost the last time I bought a can but much larger and lasts ways longer. Plus good choice of colours helps with some armies, especially in tandem with their quickshade dips. But usually I just stick to black undercoat for simplicity.

Thanks

James

i do basically all my undercoating with with White Knight Squirts from bunnings, i've been considering the army painter stuff (or just getting an airbrush) for a while now though.

Yeah not surprising. Australia is the world capital of gouging. It's not surprising our retailers are moaning how cheaper internet sales are killing them. $20 was what I paid the last time I actually bought a can and I thought that was over priced.

Even army painter is ridiculously costed IMO.

I think White Knights Squirts will be my chosen path from here on.

I use Australian Export either matt black or grey primer. You can get it from auto shops or some Bunnings. Its about $3 or $4 dollars for a 250 g spray can. I have found it to be a thin coat that doesn't cover details. I always manage to get the black on my hands and face but it comes off easily with a sponge and water. I prefer it to White Knights but thats just a personal preference.

I tried auto primer a few years back but was nt impressed. It had clogged the detail of the minature- maybe i was using it wrong.

The Austalian Export matt black is a very thin fine spray that is a light covering. No issue with clogging detail. The grey primer is a bit heavier coating but works well on resin buildings.

Dreadfleet, huh? Why didn't you dorks spend your development time and money on things that people actually want, like IG stormtroopers, all of those missing Tyranids, or perhaps Necrons, Necrons, Necrons, Necrons, Necrons? Fugging dipshits, enjoy the not-money I'm giving you!

My first reaction is that it looked nice but expensive - like so much of GW's products!! However i did agree with someone here who thought that it was a Dark Elf ship, not Skaven. Will be interesting to see these alongside classic Man O'War ships to compare size and style.

I won't be rushing out to buy it. But I suspect a couple of people at my local gaming club will pick it up, so I might well give it a go.

Cheers

James

If you are going to make a "one-off" box, then bring back an old game that people miss, not a transparent attempt to cash in on Uncharted Seas/Pirates of the Caribbean.

....

I was underwhelmed. That and I have been translating pages of German using Google translation (typing it manually) and want to kill someone. So, like millions before me, I channel my rage and frustration into hurtful words on the internet.
