You'd be perfect if you weren't so modest Matt...

Nice stuff SG. I agree on the wash though, maybe some Devlan Mud in the recesses?

it does get wearing being right all the time, guess I'll just have to get used to it :)

:P nyeh nyeh nyeh! So there.

I came to the conclusion that, blue was the closest to complementary, and thus best *for yellow*

Where are you all looking at more wash? The intakes and side vents, or more?

On the fuselage, in the spaces between panels, especially on the tail and engine cowlings.

Or perhaps a camera flash bleached out the dark spots on the model?

I'd just stick another wash (possibly a little thinned down) over all the yellow and let it set into the lines itself; washes are good for that and no need to unnecessarily add to the per model time. Looking good generally :)

Page 5? It's been too long.

First, further progress on my Vanaheim. I've decided on a fairly traditional unit marking scheme here, essentially lifted straight from the 3Ed Codex: IG. 5 Regiments of 5 Companies, each color coded as Red, Green, Blue, Gold, or Black.

Red and Green Regiments are line troops. Blue Regiment is Vultures. Gold Regiment is Stormtroopers. Black Regiment is Recon. If a companies regiment and company color are the same, it gets a white company stripe.

Red/Red Valkyries and the lead Red/Green Valk. I still need to get some Valk Patrols to equip my Vendettas, so they're still waiting to be completed.

Two Black/Red Tauros (Sentinels)

Of course, all the bases need to be painted, but the vehicles themselves are done.

Also, got my SHT together.

Hungry Whale, a company of SHT, and a company of Manchus that have been sitting around for a bit. See if you can spot the Lascannon barrel that I needed to replace after it was stolen by the boggart that lives under my fridge, feeding on half empty Mountain Dew cans. They'll end up in Catachan Green with Desert Yellow camo, similar to my AOTs.

Looking good, the Valks look great. I love the lunar landscape you piled your SHT on.

Matt's priming table looks the same way, it'd be a great way to make terrain if it didn't require boatloads of spray paint.

People seem to like army shots, so I spent what seems like most of the evening setting up my 23k (give or take) of Imperial Guard. With out further ado, I present:

Image
The whole shebang, and my cat Tiger Bob, who was in the way as cats are wont to be. Left to right: Baran (5k), Steel Legion (7700), Minervan (6k), Vanaheim (3.5k), Misc./Cadian (about 1k)

Image
Seigemasters. I've got a few more odds and ends here: a few stands of infantry and two more batteries each of Rapiers and Thudds (Otter Pattern).

Image
Steel Legion. Six Russes of 1st Tank Coy, 3 Basilisks from 1st Arty Coy, and 1st Infantry Coy and attached Fire Support are currently detached to the Mini case at the Bunker for a display and army for intros.

Image
Minervans. The hard to see stuff at the back of the right column are Basilisks (EW Guild Apollo SPA), Medusas (Apollo w/ cut down barrel), and my proof of concept Conquerer.

Image
Vanaheim. The silver Valks are waiting on Valk Patrol Plasma Cannon, which just arrived, for Vendettas. Also 8 Valk Patrol/Vultures to build. If anyone has a single FW T-Bolt they can let go, let me know, 'cause I have no idea where the guy in back's wingman is.

Image
Misc/Cadian. The Aircraft is my new Marauder Colossus for my slowly progressing Cadians.

There we go. Classic army pics, even with some fuzzy spots. Enjoy!
