My feelings on the deathwheel echo what MikeT wrote, but I wouldn't discount the Decimators if I were you.
3BP MW ignore cover cannons o' doom are Space Marine killers, as you might imagine.

There's probably no decimators in the LaTD list because they have a ton of war engines already. That's just a guess though.

I want them (well the Decimators anyways) and they will complete my chaos army. I am thinking 2 Decimators to give variety, and they do look very useful!

I am thinking of buying some LaTD at some point and doing a traitor guard theme (more tilted towards Guard than Traitor) and was just wondering as I do not have / can't afford the old daemon engines. I can always proxy.

Deathwheels are simply awesome (as a unit). To negate them as a viable choice is really limiting the options for a fast moving tactical strike with some very good FF support as the next activation.
