the infinity models did get finished (and the pics are all at the bottom of that thread) but here is a pic of them all together which is not

corvus belli figures are pretty much all a joy to paint (if not to assemble) and infinity is a really good game. as a startup cost, its very cheap because it's a skirmish game, and the rules are available for free online (but the rulebooks are SO good that you'll want them in person. they have so much background and fluff and beautiful pictures that arent in the online version) so you can buy a full sized army (ie: a standard game size of 300 points. you can play less, and i've heard people play more, but i've never felt the need to go larger) for under a hundred bucks australian. two forces and both rulebooks come out at around $250. the real kicker though, is terrain. infinity needs more terrain than you'd imagine
here's a picture of a table i made, to give you a bit of an idea.

you can, fairly easily, spend more time and money on terrain than on the armies playing in it (i didnt, papercraft is cheap, but i know people who have made beautiful tables that have cost them quite a bit
the marut is an infinity figure from an army i do not collect (yet ^_~) called Aleph. its the equivalent of the curvy battlesuit from my army. when it first came out, i was the guy posting the pictures of it into the australian website, so the pictures went into my photobucket. she's a lovely model (though i didnt paint her XD) and one of a great many, but not on my purchasing radar right now. (i have a second infinity force i painted up a while ago but havent photographed. perhaps i'll do that soon)
anyway, here's something cute i did for a painting contest a while back
