Jeridan, from day one JD did say that terms and conditions would apply. It is disappointing that day ticket attendees have been omitted, but I guess the BHGS went with pleasing the largest number of players, and they are residential attendees.

But my main point still stands, I've no idea how much space there is left for this years Britcon, but if you are eligible for a day ticket I'd get it sooner rather than later.

I'd expect there to be very few day tickets on sale for people that don't have a Manchester postcode as their permanent residence.

I'd have more if I could get more models (cheaply), they're the best unit in the list.



But not what they were, or I didn't hear at least. Meh, it's a minor bugbear. The other's being deciphering the complex entry form, locating a cheque book from the 1980's and dragging your ass in on a Friday evening for game 1. Aside from that it's arguably the top tournament of the Epic calender.

I've sent an entry form in for this, though given that it's Easter, I'm not expecting a speedy response.

... I assume I got the right options on the form, it was very confusing for what essentially should have been, "epic with a room for friday and saturday nights please".

How does the Friday work, will we pre-draw opponents or just who ever is there... because I couldn't be there until later that evening.

I'm pretty confident you'll get a spot, and that makes 12 epic players so far. You should have gone for something like "Standard Competition Convention Package & Single Student room with shared bathroom facilities" unless you've gone posh and gone for an en-suite option.

When you arrive on Friday go to your accommodation first and check in there. Then come to the gaming hall and check in at the front desk.

The draw for Friday games is done like this. At about 18:00 a slip for every player is put on a table. When your ready to play your game you take the slip with your name and hand it to the organiser behind the table. They then begin to make match ups with the players that have put their names forward to allow the players that are here to get gaming. No game can start later than 21:00 and must finish by 23:59.

13 people signed up now. Can we make this the biggest Britcon on Epic's 5th year at the event? 5 more will see us do just that.

I've been advised that so far 180 gamers are registered for Britcon this year. We are competing for space with every other system so the sooner you can get your entry in the more likely you are to get a place!

No word on whether day tickets for none Manchester residents will be available this year, but I will keep my ear to the ground.

Train booked. I'll be in around 1400 as usual. Will be needing a warm up, s my last game of Epic was at the GT in November....
