In trying to seperate my own modeling from this thread, I'm switching it over to my blog.

I have this:
Code:
Eldar Eidolon Titan

WE   25cm   5+   3+   3+

2x Eldar Twin Missile Launcher   45cm   AP4+/AT4+/AA5+

Choose 4 Eldar Battle Titan Weapons. No more than two may be of the following types: Eldar Titan Power Fist, Spirit Sword.

Notes: Damage Capacity 9, Holofield, Walker, Fearless, Leader, Reinforced Armour
Critical: Holofield destroyed. Any further critical hits will cause one additional point of damage.

And this:

Does anyone know of a good part for me to trade the Wraithlord's toe socks for the Phantom-style chicken feet. Specifically, I can make a mating ring, but don't really want to GS toes. I may have to in the end, if I don't just get a Phantom to cannibalize. I'm looking for the overlapping plated feel, so Guardian feet won't work.

Update on the Vanaheim.

My clumsy brushwork doesn't do these justice, they're fantastic models. Much to my wife's chagrin, I've ordered most of the rest of the army. I still need to go to FW for planes, but almost everything else should be en route from EW.

24 EW Valk Transports and 8 Khazari Raiders are more or less built. Some sand on bases and they'll be ready for priming. Test of the flying base is here:

The Eldar Eidolon Titan is coming along nicely. It's astonishing how much exchanging the feet and head with Phantom parts changes the feel of the 40k Wraithlord. The only niggling doubt I have is with the ankles, but I'm not sure there's a better way. Might GS some, but we'll see. No pics until I can figure out where my camera went...

There's the camera!

Parts are just Blu-Tacked (well, white) together, and there is some plating in the groin and hips I've not added, but the shape is pretty clear. Particularly pay attention to the ankles; do they work?

I want to make clear here that I'm not going to push for rules for this model. If it comes about, so be it, but this is currently for my enjoyment only. If I run it it'll be as a 'counts as' Phantom for the time being.

Nice job with the titan, SG. The ankles work great.

Got around to finishing the basecoat on my Vanaheim vehicles today.

The color scheme will be Desert Yellow with a Gryphonne Sepia wash, and black contrasts with Shadow Grey highlights. What color would you (collective) recommend for the canopies of the Valk Transports and Raiders? I'm thinking either green or red.

blue. I'm big into blue canopies (canapes?) and the colour contrasts nicely with tan colours. Green's not bad, if you're a wuss that is.

I quite like that phantom monstrosity. Ankles look a little odd as the foot is forward of the leg line. Any way to bring it back a bit? One solution might be to pose the model more (could be John Wayne style, foot on indian, elbow on knee style) which, if nothing else, will take the focus away from the ankles. Besides, some guys like ankles I'm told <ahem>.

There might be a way to get those ankles in line, now that I look at it again. I'm not sure how confident I am of my ability to achieve it. I'd need to get cut off the ribbed area behind the current ball joint, remove the 'dew claw' behind the ankle, and Dremel out the inside of the remaining plastic to the size of the joint. It should probably be done, but I really don't want to get it wrong.

Blue. So boring, so traditional. But you might be right. I distrust canapes that are either blue or green, however. Won't eat 'em. Green Canolis are okay, but Blue? Nah.

Yeah, ankles look a bit weird. I think it's because the legs and the rest of the model is so straight, moving the feet back should work wonders.[shadow][/shadow]

OK, so I have a test piece of the Valks painted up.

Looks like the canopy frame needs some cleaning up, and I need to fix the bottom of the intakes. Any other suggestions?

Edit - Oh yeah. As you might have guessed, I need to paint the base as well. :P

The valk looks great. My only suggestion would be to apply another coat of wash, but just in the recesses to make them pop a bit more.
