Thank you,
Yes they are from old crow turrets, which I replaced the machine gun barrels with some plasticard tube bits.

Did you drill the turrets? I hate mating metal to anything without drilling at that size. I'm always afraid, and generally correct, that it'll constantly snap off. Excellent build. I'd agree it's tall, but that doesn't take away from the build quality.

Thanks :).
I'm working now on buffing up the tank, and detailing.
I extended the sides of the front plow according to some feedback I got. Also added a front structure to break the lines of the main tower. Should I place a double cannon on the left side?
Another questino is about the sloped side pannels on the back.
One option is to add imperial eagles on each side. Another idea is just to buff it up and detail. Or anything else I would love to hear.

Lastly the landing pad on the back. It was measured with a Valkyrie miniature from a friend.
But what do you thing about it? On one hand it looks like a peacock tail, on the other without it the back is missing.
So, what do you think?

Anyways thanks for your time, I would love to hear your ideas, feel free to tell m,
Eyal.

have you considered rotating the pad so it is facing the same way as the rest of the tank? (or failing that, pulling it forwards a little so it doesnt overhang at the back?)
i'd also suggest putting support struts under the pad to bulk it out a bit

I tried to change i 90 degrees but it doesn't look "right".
I'll take picture with the pad location change, and picture with it flipped 180 degrees and let you see.

yep I plan to add struts, and some stairs to the tank top.

thanks :).

I agree with Jaggedtoothgrin on moving it forward; or if the landing pad is not wanted then how about a 4 gun turret (1/350 scale) from the Prince of Wales, or a two gun turret from the Bismark? Or even a landing pad on top of a turret. . .

Hi,
First thank you very much for your feedback, made me think about how to continue.
Spectrar ghost sorry for missing your question, I didn't drill them though I should have, but there was a large amount of super glue involved..

The thing is nearing completion, I've tried various positions for the landing pad, but decided to leave it as is, the other possibilities don't look so well and my wife likes it like that so there is it ;D

I added more details, and finished the front howizer above the plower. Added some struts under the landing pad, and some staircases from a 1/350 battleship PE set.

The roof was also completed with the overscale marines radar but at least it look nice.

Now for the finishing touch I think of adding more PE details such as a crane or similar bits. I'll see if it works and take pictures, or just go on and start painting it.

thank,
eyal.

Where's that set of stairs from? They look brilliant as does the entire model. Any plans for a valkyrie on the bad or something similar?

Incredible detail,
I love the ladders aswell, cant believe you have built this from plastic card it looks brilliant, If it was me building this there would be drips of superglue everywhere and bits stuck to the end of my fingers and thumbs!

As everyone has said cant wait to see this painted, Have to agree a ship/shuttle of some kind on the top would look the nuts!

Regards epic

Thank you!
I plan to add a valkyrie at the back when I buy one :)..
I glue the plasticard with liquid cement (Tamiya's) it works better than superglue and doesn't leave marks.
The stairs were taken from PE set for a 1:350 battleship (don't remember which...)
Thanks again,
Eyal.
