It's Lord Aaron's fault. I have no need for bunkers at this time, but I'd done the design work, and his is so nice...

It's not quite done; I need to add the support struts on trench connections, and add doors. Plus the spackle work, of course.

It does slot in with the other trench sections, BTW.

It's been a while since an update on the Minervans, and the Adepticon tourney is tomorrow, so I figured I'd give a big ol' update complete with group shot!

So I'm making this thing. I wonder what it is?

All excellent guesses.

But are those your final answers?

Now it looks like a gargant...or an epic glacier with treads.

Please note: it is NOT a Grot Tank!

Progress on what is in fact, a Gargant.

Image
Side view. I've completed both track sections and the base of the exhaust section.

Image
Three quarters view.

Now I've reached a point where I need some opinions. Specifically, how the arms should attach to the torso. Both current Gargants have wide shoulders that have sockets underneath for arms, similar to the FW Warhounds. The older gargants, which this is loosely modeled on, have arms that stick directly to the sides of the torso, like the GW Warhounds. In that case I'd probably build boxes out from the torso so the arms could hang straight down and not interfere with the tracks. Which do you guys think would look better?

I prefer the underslung arms. It makes the titans/gargants look like they have elbows, which makes them look more anthropomorphic/orkopomorphic.
