that your Inf. staed inside their transports
did not want to come in my mind :D

-what are those ork transporters
seen on the fitht pic in the front?
-is this NETEPIC or E:A?
-how long was the distance between ork and imperial deployment zone?
-do you think it was the right distance?

cheers

If you provide a link to the picture you are asking about I'll be glad to answer but right now I am not sure what picture you are talking about.

We played using NetEpic Armylists. The Ork horde was a glorious mix af "normal" Orks, Speed Freeks, Orkimedes GBM and Feral Orks.

We Started 100cm from each other on a T-shaped. Distance from each other was ok. But we should have played on a wider board. As it was the Orks had Zero mobility. There was no room to maneuvre. In the end it was more or less a game played on a 4'x4' table and i was somewhat of a turkey shoot for the Imperium. The Ork players agreed that we would call it a moral victory if we could manage to get any groundbased Boyz on to the table with the Hive.

And we probably should have made some sort of arrangement to get the Imperators and Mega Gargant fighting each other. As it was the hardly entered the game. The Imperators manily blasted the Ork Aircraft out of the sky. And the MegaGargant only fired its guns once breaking a Leman Russ company. But it would have been cooler to se the big guys fighting.

The game does get a little heavy. We divided the armies up i 3 "subarmies" that each got to activate simultaneous in order to speed everything up a bit. So in fact each side activated 3 formations at a time up to 6 if they retained initiative.

The biggest mistake and most "gamebreaking" was that we ought to have just played a broader table something like 16'x4' instead of the T-shape made up of two 8'x4' tables. That would have given us much more room to maneuvre.

That's neat. I thought it was Armageddon at first the way everything is bunched up, but I guess you just didn't have the room to spread your units out :D

You should post up the battle report link in the NetEpic section for posterity's sake (go on, pretty please).

Oh, and are the Orks using a looted Warlord titan????

we have some 90.000 pts worth of stuff, we never tried anything over 4.000 pts.

in NETEPIC it works well
we played a game with 36000 points per side

nice pics - thanks for sharing!
I especially like your crawler!

I was wondering how you did all the rivets on the home-made armour-plates? Rivets are always the reason that I don't do any orc conversions (simply because I can't make 'em the right size...)

cheers,
M

Ghudra showed me a while back the technique of taking a .010" sheet, and embossing it with a scribing tool. I've used it on teh plates around the belly gun here.

Slices of plastic rod (.030" is best at this scale), ceramic beads from a water filter, and Grandt line plastic rivets are also techniques Ive used in the past.
