Cheers :) Well I admit that the windows above are slightly clumsily painted, but that's the nature of commission work. The tip of my brush was dead but we had a deadline to reach. It also works better with some colours than others, but generally I've found that the more exaggerated the highlight at the bottom becomes, the greater the effect on the table. For example you clearly notice the huge difference between the GW valk painted...oh... just after the model came out. 2004? and the EW valk which has much more contrast. Or maybe it is just my eyesight that is getting worse and needs more contrast to see anything :D

I recognized the same thing
when I painted my windows on my Imperial Fleet(red),
the ones I put very bright magenta on the edge turned out much better
the color on the edge has to be nearly as bright as the white dot in the dark(my experience)

most of my failures happend while using yellow/brown colors
but it has to work
SCREAM painted his colors with a brown/yellow mix and it looked beautiful
but who I am to compare with Scream :-[

Looking very enticing =P

I saw that Commisar Rudlof has used some EW tanks in lieu of IG super heavies. Any chance of a comparison 'tween the two?

I thought I had some, but apparently not. They are within a few mm of the SG tanks in each direction, but smaller than the FW or forumware. They look slimmer and lower in profile, but are not too far off overall. No minis with me right now, but I'll try to remember for when I get home.

Found some measurements from a bit ago.

Sizes of primary hull (no sponsons or turrets, but Shadowswords include superstructure). I dont have any FW hulls to measure.

Baneblade MKI: 42mm x 29mm x 19mm
Shadowsword MKI: 42mm x 30mm x 20mm
Baneblade MKII: 45mm x 30mm x 18mm
Shadowsword MKII: 47.5mm x 30mm x 20.5mm
Enforcer UPC MKII: 45mm x 28mm x 15mm
