Nice pic fatdex :)
I think those SM era epic dreads with the crew visible would be a better look than that thing.

Looks like it. For me, it's the obvious "Nintendo flashing red weak point" concept. The vulnerable pneumatics over the shoulders, and the obvious sniper bait peekaboo windows for the arms, legs and face. Stick some plating on the former two, and a plasteel shield (or an integrated Terminator style heavy helmet) for the latter.

It's lucky the 40K universe has marksmen that make Star Wars Stormtroopers look like Carlos Hathcock. Else the battlefield would be littered with these things.

I had similar objection to the old Eldar WarWalker, but that was at least explained away as having a Power Field for it's pilot. Still not a great concept in a universe where melee is not just a viable, but an often preferred tactic.

Given the pilot's terminator armour is still terminator armour- I think he's still pretty well protected.

Except for the cock who is riding without a helmet :P

So it is Terminator Armour? It's hard to tell from the picture, and the hands/arms threw me as being power armour. Though yes, the legs do have a more robust feel. Even so, how's an armoured cockpit, or a more substantial take (like Dreadnought Sarcophagus style protection) just not a good idea?

And there's actually a variant that has a helmetless pilot? Or are you just referencing the stupid concept GW has for putting commanders/sergeants in without helmets?

Oh yeah, they put a helmetless head in there lol

But damnit I like it. I do see joint and part similarities with the new Reaver titan model the more I look.

Updating my signature in just a tic

OK, now that's just plain stupid.

I mean, words fail to define the level of idiocy of that.

Oh no mate I love it too. It's silly but awesome. Sorry we were still talking about warhammer 40,000 universe are we not? It's a running theme for the last 20 years as far as I was aware.

I was going to say somebody had watched too much Avatar, but even they had sense enough to put the pilot behind some plexiglass at least...

Oh, I gave up on GW naming conventions twenty plus years ago. It used to be that GW were marketed towards a more serious GRIMDARK (TM) universe. But now, it's thesaurus time, coupled with kiddy mentality. What's the thing on his left arm? A SuperMegaBlastyCannon? Bleh.

Though, I have to ask, how the hell is a hammer a fist? Unless there's a third right arm?
