Okay, let's try this again!

Alongside commission work and Epic scratchbuilding, I'm trying to get back to work on my 10mm scale Steampunk game.

I'll post designs here for critiques, etc. Please let me know what you think.

I think that if you are going to go with the boats-on-tracks motif, then maybe you should use an angled set of tracks at the prow (see sketch below). You could set the angle of the tracks to the same angle of the prow.

Other thoughts, you should make at least one model resemble a side-wheel steamer with a giant wheel at the center of each side, like the Great Western.

Otherwise, it looks good. My only question is, are you going to go by pre- or post-dreadnought style gun layouts? All big-guns, or mixes of lots of different calibres?

It depends on the faction.

For the British, they'll be a bit more post-dreadnought, for the French, they'll be a bit more pre-dreadnought, and the Germans will be a bit more rube-goldberg!

Incidentally, to give some idea of scale, the Land Cruiser is 15cm long.

Nice! I'm seeing potential in the land ship turrets and the gatling tank for converting orks too :)

It looks good, but...

Based on the size of the soldier standing next to it, it doesn't seem like it has enough volume to hold ye olde timey steam engine + powder and shells + any number of crewmen.

At the very least, maybe add hatches to the tops of the turrets so the poor basterds don't have to crawl through the guts of the transmission to get to their guns.

Also, I realize you are trying to save drawing time, but maybe scale up the treads a bit, it looks like they're about the same size as ones on a snowmobile.

Is it meant to be amphibious? While I understand the "land warship" concept, I don't think the design has any reason to have a ship-like hull unless it is amphibious or actually made from a ship with the propellers replaced with treads. I'd personally prefer something like the Brigade Land Ironclads range instead of this design. The turrets are fantastic however, and worth keeping intact regardless.

The hull shape is partly anachronistic, and partly practical as the narrow profile allow it to travel through "Steamgates"...

The setting for this game has time being constantly screwed with, leading to weird anachronistic designs popping up.
