Greetings esteemed gentlemen,

Undaunted by the low turn out at the last challenge, the February challenge begins!

The usual blurb:

Steel Crown Productions has elected to host a monthly challenge to the TacComms community, contestants will have until the 25th of each month to submit an entry. From the 25th we'll open up a vote to the community as to which entry they prefer based on the months criteria. The winner will then receive a prize of their choice (any blister) from the online store with free shipping. Only one entry per person can be submitted for judging.

The February Challenge: The Shortest Month - 6mm to the extreme.

Celebrating the shortest month (and the tightest deadline of the year), your challenge, should you choose to accept it is to paint one and only one 6mm scale infantry figure from any manufacturer. How you do it is up to you, the only stipulation is that it can be one and one only figure. The base however can be as big as you like (you can glue it to a pin head, a table, a tastful and heavy metal to the extreme hat or even to a 20x20 plastic base if you feel a tad conventional :p).

Examples are limitless but could include:

* An EW Guild Legionnaire Centurian having a smoking break
* A GW Ork practising his 'lektrik Gitar
* A Microworld Beastman frollicking merrily

Anyway chaps - have fun and I look forward to seeing your entries.

Please submit all entries to my exoduswars.com webmaster address before the 25th. There is no restriction on posting up entries on TacComms prior to the voting to get feedback or show off :p, however we do ask that your miniatures have been started and finished in the month of February (well spoted E&C). This is as much about getting people motivated to paint as it is to gawp at some awesome miniatures.

Hum. I have an ideas hanging around for a few months, which is both a kind of joke / homage, and a nice modelling project as well. Didn't get around to actually making it in time for the EpicComp. This might be the motivation needed.

Would that be okay to post some pics here ? I'll try to make some WIP shots.

can they be scratchbuilt infantry?

I don't actually have any infantry models here, and any posted would arrive in time to see the deadline, but only just.

Thats fine by me, any manufacturer works especially if it's yours own.

dammit...

Having received my first Exodus figures, I was half way through a buggy when I just re-read the rules.

*slaps own forehead*

Infantry figures being undercoated... hopefully in under the wire at some point tomorrow :)

:'(

I really didn't read the rules... just foolishly assumed it was the end of the month! So, it doesn't count for anything, but I enjoyed painting "The Dragon" - Urban Crime Lord, non-the-less, so purely for the spirit of it, I'll post him here in the spirit of the event, rather than submit him officially :)
